Sensational Cucumber Mint Infused Vodka

Vodka is arguably the most subtle, the most adaptable, of all spirits.  The base ingredient tends to dictate what it will taste like.  Vodka is a chameleon of liquors. This means, happily, that vodka may be matched with many different types of flavors.  Today we are celebrating the unique botanical profile of cucumber-mint-infused vodka. There are several brands on the market that are making this delicious, summery blend!

When pondering cucumber mint vodka, a specific term comes to mind: versatility.  It can be sipped from a snifter, poured over ice, mixed with other alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, and even made into a spritzer cocktail.  There is nothing this light, refreshing, crisp, and cool spirit cannot do! Scroll down for some delicious recipes featuring cucumber and mint vodka.

Ketel One Botanical Cucumber & Mint Vodka

Ketel One Botanical Cucumber and Mint Vodka

Arguably one of the easiest to find of our selections, the Ketel One Botanical Cucumber and Mint Vodka is delicious! Plus, it’s a lower-calorie choice than other beverages; it has 40 percent fewer calories than a glass of white wine. There are no added sugars. Unsurprisingly, this vodka tastes like cucumber and mint. The distillation process using copper pot stills makes this a smooth, fresh, and crisp vodka.

This is a perfect choice if you are going to be hosting a garden party. Just add some club soda to make an easy, breezy cocktail for your guests. Pair this with a fresh garden salad with strawberries.

Stolichnaya Cucumber Vodka

Stolichnaya Cucumber Vodka

The Stoli vodka only has the cucumber—no mint flavor here. That has its pros and cons. On one hand, you can add other ingredients—like cranberry, for instance—without the mint interfering. On the other hand, the mint is refreshing, and we kind of missed it here.  You can always add fresh mint to the beverage if you like, though. This vodka has a little hint of basil on the nose, which we love.

Try this vodka in a Bloody Mary or in a Cosmo for a perfect base ingredient. You won’t be disappointed!

Greenhouse Cucumber Mint Vodka

Green House Mint Cucumber Vodka

We like this choice because it’s made in the USA. (That makes it a slightly more environmentally-friendly choice since we live in the USA too!) There’s nothing standing in the way of the green, crisp, smooth heirloom cucumber taste in this vodka. This vodka, like the others, is sugar-free and has no carbs.

We recommend pairing this delicious vodka with Thai food, especially a dish that includes rice noodles and scallions.

Veil Botanical Cucumber & Mint Vodka

Also made in the USA, this is another environmentally-friendly choice for us. And we like that!  This vodka is filtered through charcoal, which really highlights the freshness of the botanicals in this spirit. This is a perfectly clear vodka, with some surprising aromas of ripe tomato and green banana. There’s a hint of honeydew melon here, too, along with tarragon. It’s a beautifully-balanced vodka that’s smooth and easy to drink.

We recommend mixing this vodka in a simple, basic martini or in a vodka tonic. For food pairings, try this vodka with a pulled pork sandwich or with a dish of lamb meatballs.

Finlandia Botanical Cucumber and Mint Vodka

Finlandia’s Botanical Cucumber and Mint Vodka are clear and crisp. When you open the bottle, the cucumber nose presents itself loud and clear, but it also has a hint of melon, which makes it interesting. On the palate, there’s more melon. Was this on purpose? We may never know, but the result is a calm and soothing feeling. It’s like a sip of your cucumbery-melon water at the end of a spa day, while you delay putting your street clothes on again. Ahhhh!

For a simple cocktail, try mixing a little bit of lemonade with this vodka. For a food pairing, try this vodka with a simple egg and watercress tea sandwich.

Cucumber Mint Vodka Cocktail Recipes

Cucumber-mint vodka is delicious when sipped neat out of beautiful glass. But this style of vodka is excellent in cocktails, as well. It makes for a refreshing drink that even your grandma would love.

Cucumber-Mint Cocktail

This recipe results in a fun and festive beverage with a playful green hue.  It is fabulous for a garden party, an upbeat happy hour, or as a signature drink!

You will need:

  • 6 cucumber slices, about ¼” thick
  • 8 mint leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 2 oz. cucumber mint vodka (any brand)
  • ½ oz. lime juice (freshly squeezed is best!)
  • ¼ oz. simple syrup
  • 2 oz. ginger beer

Serves 1. Chill a glass (we recommend a coupe glass) for at least 30 minutes to get it super cold! In a cocktail shaker with no ice yet, muddle 4 cucumber slices and the fresh mint. Next, fill the shaker halfway with ice. Then, add the cucumber mint vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is very cold. Strain the cocktail into the chilled glass. Top off with ginger beer, and garnish with two cucumber slices and additional mint leaves. Don’t forget a coaster!

Ketel One Botanical Cucumber and Mint Spritz

This is a refreshing drink that is easy and smooth to sip on a sunny afternoon!

You will need:

  • 50 ml (about 1 ½ oz.) Ketel One Botanical Cucumber & Mint
  • 150 ml (about 5 oz.) soda water
  • Mint sprig for garnish

Serves 1. Pour the vodka into a beautiful wine glass with ice. Top with the soda and add the mint as garnish. Don’t forget the wine charms!

Mint, Cucumber, and Vodka Cocktail

You will need:

  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 cup mint leaves (fresh)
  • Ice cubes
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice (fresh is best)
  • 4 oz. (½ cup) of vodka
  • 1 oz. Cointreau

Serves 4. Cut four thin spears from one cucumber, and reserve them for garnish. Peel the remaining cucumber and quarter it lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds with a spoon and discard the seeds. Coarsely chop the cucumber and puree in a food processor until it is smooth. Strain through a fine sieve, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Next, it’s time to mix the ingredients! Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the mint, sugar, and lime juice, and shake. Add ¾ cup of the cucumber juice, vodka, and Cointreau and shake again. Strain into four glasses that are filled with ice. Garnish each cocktail with a cucumber spear.

Nordic Cucumber Cocktail

This is a super simple cocktail to mix up!

You will need:

  • 1 ½ oz. Finlandia Botanical Cucumber and Mint

  • Half a lime, juiced, plus one slice for garnish
  • A handful of mint leaves (and a sprig for garnish)
  • 1 tsp. agave syrup (or simple syrup)
  • 1 ½ oz. vodka (Try the Stoli Cucumber)

Seltzer or club soda to top

Serves 1. Put the cucumber, lime juice, and a handful of mint leaves into the bottom of a large cocktail shaker. Using a muddler, muddle the ingredients together until broken down and fragrant. Add the vodka and agave. Add a handful of ice and shake until the shaker is super cold. Strain the liquid from your shaker into a glass filled with ice. Top with seltzer, and stir gently. Garnish with a lime wheel, two slices of cucumber, and a mint sprig! Don’t forget the coaster!
