We’re glad October 4th is in place to celebrate you, your golf buddies, and the game itself. Finishing up the back nine? Prepping for a charity event? Speaking of heading to the bar… Maybe some golf lovers out there are in need of the perfect nineteenth hole hangout. So, we’re touring the country a bit in this article. We hope some of our best golf bars listed below speak to you. Some might be close enough to you to inspire a road trip! Even if they’re far away, you can keep them in mind for family vacations, bachelor parties, and weekend getaways.

8 Best Bars for Golf Lovers

It’s time to think about heading off the green and settling in with a pour of your favorite. We’re tackling this idea of the best golf bars by region, and there are tons of terrific locations out there. We hope you’ll share some of your own favorites below in the comments section!

Our best advice? As you travel and play, talk to the locals. They know magical things when it comes to golf and bars. For now, we hope you’ll check out some of these.  Whether today’s game was stellar or challenging, you’ll find yourself saying “Another round!”

1) The Northeast Golf Lovers Spot

19th Golf and Grill

Milford, MA

What can we say? This new place (about an hour and a half southwest of Boston) strikes an ideal sort of balance. It’s both elegant and exciting. Whether you’re in the mood for craft beers or cocktails (or maybe cider, wine, or your favorite pour), you’ll find it here, along with delicious food and golf simulators. Kick it at 19th after your game or celebrate something special--a promotion or birthday, perhaps.

2) The Southeast Golf Lovers Hangout

19th Hole at Griffin Gate Golf Club

Lexington, KY

This beautiful establishment is open to the public, and you’ll enjoy those breathtaking Bluegrass views for sure. (You’ve come to the wrong blog if you think we’d miss an opportunity to highlight another reason to visit Kentucky.) You can swing in before you tee off or at the turn. But definitely, plan to relax there for your 19th-hole drinking pleasure. You’ll certainly want to take advantage of their high-end cigar bar and seasonal offerings.

3) The Atlantic Coast Golf Lovers Destination

Revolution Golf and Grille

Williamsburg, VA

You can check out their “Revolution Lineup” and craft beers, as well as the wine and cocktail list online here. If you’re hungry, they have an in-house chef serving up quality appetizers and meals. They’re guaranteed to be a perfect ending to your great (or even mediocre) golf outing. You’ll meet with hospitality and passion in this locally-owned venue. Come in for happy hour, live music on the weekends, virtual golf, golf clinics and lessons, and so much more.

4) The Gulf Coast Golf Enthusiasts Spot

Peninsula Golf Club

Gulf Shores, AL

When you think Alabama, you’re thinking of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, of course. But we’re taking you to Peninsula today. Grab a breakfast cocktail and quick bite before you head out to play, and then join the club later for late lunch and a celebratory round (or two). Like their motto says, “Golf is more than a game.” In 2017, they won a “Best Of” award from Golf Advisor, and Golf Digest selected them as one of the “most memorable and enjoyable” courses. Both members and guests are welcome!

5) The Pacific Coast Golf Lovers Rendezvous

Mackenzie Bar & Grill at Pasatiempo

Santa Cruz, CA

The bar itself is named after Alister Mackenzie, the great golf course architect. It boasts a gorgeous view of Monterey Bay and Pasatiempo’s 9th green, along with a great family atmosphere. The chef specialties and delicious libations won’t disappoint, whether you’re there for happy hour, a business meeting, or the big game.

6) The Midwest Golf Hobbyists Hangout

Wildwood Pub & Grill

Wildwood, MO / St. Louis

Celebrate your golf game with a few beers and maybe even some shots in this affluent suburb of St. Louis. And if you feel like taking in some more golf, Wildwood offers an indoor experience with their simulators. You can book your tee time and check out their tournaments online. It’s family-friendly and relaxed. You’ll definitely enjoy yourself, ladies and gents!

7) The Northwest Golf Lovers Pub

Floating Green Restaurant at The Coeur d’Alene Resort

Coeur d’Alene, ID

Yeah, this one’s the complete golf package. We’re stepping out of the “bar” realm a bit, but we’re keeping it in check, mind you. We’ve gotta say, Coeur d’Alene is pretty stunning in the first place. But this golf lover’s paradise is also bringing a full-service bar, and we hear that their wine game is strong. The attire is resort casual, and you know what? We say just make a vacation out of this one. Get your golf fam together and make this a trip for the books. Enjoy a late morning Pimm’s Cup, afternoon beers, and evening cocktails. And maybe a little golf, too.

8) The Southwest Golf Aficionados Bar

Flight Deck Bar at Las Vegas Golf Center

Las Vegas, NV

We’re not dealing with just any sports bar here: they always make certain the Golf Channel is on. They boast night-lit courses, offer leagues to join, and host festivals. You’ll get views of the Las Vegas Strip, and overall, it’s just a sweet vibe they’ve created. The food is fast, and the drinks are fine. It’s the perfect post-game happy hour spot. Don’t miss it!
